Food Sensitivity Test Panel
Food-related symptoms are not always caused by a true allergy. Some people experience bloating, fatigue, headaches or skin irritation linked to certain foods, even when allergy tests are negative. Our Food Sensitivity Test Panel assesses IgG antibody responses to over 200 different foods, helping to identify potential dietary triggers that may be contributing to ongoing symptoms.

This advanced private blood test provides a detailed overview of how your immune system responds to a broad range of everyday foods. The results can support a structured dietary elimination approach under appropriate professional guidance, helping you better understand patterns between what you eat and how you feel.
Who Is This Test For?
This panel may be appropriate if you:
- Experience persistent digestive symptoms such as bloating or abdominal discomfort
- Notice fatigue, headaches or skin changes after meals
- Have ongoing symptoms without a clear diagnosis
- Have ruled out food allergies but still suspect dietary sensitivities
Traditional IgE allergy tests detect immediate immune reactions. This test measures IgG antibodies, which can be connected to slower or delayed responses to certain foods.

How Does the Test Work?
A blood sample is collected at our blood test clinic and analysed to measure the concentration of IgG antibodies for each food included in the panel.
Results are presented clearly with numerical values and categorised to support interpretation:
- Elevated: indicates a strong antibody response and suggests temporary elimination may be appropriate
- Borderline: indicates a moderate response and may benefit from dietary rotation or reduction
- Normal: shows no significant IgG response detected
The structured report also groups foods by category and ranks them by level of reactivity, making it easier to plan dietary adjustments.
How Can This Test Help?
Identifying foods associated with higher antibody responses allows for a guided elimination approach. Removing or reducing reactive foods for a period may help lessen associated symptoms. Once improvement is achieved, foods can often be reintroduced gradually as part of a balanced diet.
It is important to recognise that not all food-related symptoms are driven by IgG responses. If symptoms persist despite dietary adjustments, other causes such as digestive health issues, enzyme deficiencies, lifestyle factors or underlying medical conditions may need further evaluation. Clinical guidance ensures that any dietary changes remain safe and nutritionally appropriate.

Food Sensitivity Test FAQs
- What is the difference between a food allergy and a food sensitivity?
A food allergy test involves an IgE immune response and can trigger immediate and sometimes severe symptoms. A food sensitivity panel measures IgG antibodies, which may be linked to delayed or more subtle reactions.
- How long does it take to receive results?
Results are generally available within 7 to 10 working days. You will receive a detailed report outlining antibody responses for each food tested.
- Should I avoid certain foods before testing?
No. Continue your normal diet before your appointment. Removing foods in advance may affect antibody detection and alter the findings.
- Will changing my diet resolve all symptoms?
For some individuals, adjusting intake of reactive foods leads to noticeable improvement. However, persistent symptoms may require further medical assessment to identify other contributing factors.
