Academic Background
Mr Luke Stroman completed a bachelors degree with honours, in physics with astrophysics at the University of Bristol prior to studying medicine at the University of Wales where he gained multiple undergraduate prizes.
He underwent his specialist urological training in the both the Oxford and South London deaneries after gaining a top-10 ranking at national urological recruitment. He spent time training at Guy’s and St George’s Hospitals where he gained an interest in urological oncology and benign prostatic disease. During training he held the position of British Association of Urological Surgeons South London trainee representative.
Upon completion of training in the UK, he undertook a specialist robotic uro-oncology fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia. Here he gained a broad range of uro-oncological skills including proficiency in robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy.
Mr. Stroman has held a strong academic profile, publishing over 20 peer reviewed papers and presenting research internationally at the American Association of Urology and European Association of Urology conferences. He has contributed to published books on prostatic disease, bladder and renal cancer.

Mr. Stroman holds a role as a consultant urological surgeon at Royal Berkshire Hospital with an interest in robotic prostate and bladder cancer surgery. He regularly performs robotic-assisted prostatectomy as well as transurethral prostate and bladder surgery.
He has a particular interest in raised PSA, the diagnosis and treatment of prostatic disease. He performs MRI-targeted prostate biopsy, fusion biopsy as well as local anaesthetic transperineal prostate biopsy.
He also has an interest in benign prostatic disease and offers a wide range of up-to-date treatments for prostatic disease including robotic aquablation water vapour treatment for the prostate and transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP).
