Dr Ranald Stuart graduated from the Medical School at the University of Edinburgh in 1991, also graduating with an intercalated honours degree in Biochemistry.
His medical training took place in general medical rotational posts in Edinburgh teaching hospital rotations between 1992 and 1995.
His specialist radiology registrar training took place in Newcastle-upon-Tyne between 1995 and 2000, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists.
Following this he worked abroad between 2001 and 2002, gaining a Fellowship in Radiology at Royal Perth Hospital, in Perth, Western Australia, specialising in musculoskeletal and chest radiology.
Dr Stuart was appointed as Consultant Radiologist at Royal Berkshire NHS Trust in Reading in 2002.
He is a General radiologist with subspecialty interest in musculoskeletal and chest imaging.
