How Our Genetic Testing Works

At The Forbury Clinic, we offer home-based genetic testing, designed for convenience and ease. Once your test is arranged, a kit will be sent to your home or, if you prefer, you can collect it from the clinic. The kit includes everything you need to provide a simple saliva or blood sample, along with a prepaid envelope to post your sample securely to the laboratory.

Results typically take 4–6 weeks. You will receive a report indicating whether any relevant genetic markers have been identified. If your results show any actionable findings, we will arrange an appointment with a specialist genetic counsellor to discuss your options and next steps.
